The trouble with a category that large is that "berry" tells you almost nothing about how something tastes. A tart blue raspberry and a soft, jammy blueberry are both berries. Blue raspberry deserves its own paragraph

These are not vapes — they are tobacco-free pouches placed between the lip and the gum, with no device, no battery and no vapour. They are worth knowing about if you want a berry profile somewhere a device is not practical. Adults 18+ only, as with everything else.

Cherry: the berry that is not quite a berry

Thirty-seven of the berry listings also sit in Cherry Vapes, and cherry behaves differently from the rest of the family in a way worth understanding before you buy.

Botanically cherry is a stone fruit, not a berry, and it tastes like one. It is darker, rounder and less acidic than raspberry, with a slight almond-adjacent depth that no true berry has. The reverse is also true. Blueberry Cherry Cranberry and Cherry Sour Raspberry use cherry's depth as a contrast against acid rather than as a softener, and both read as tart despite the cherry.

Berry blended with other fruit

A large share of the berry catalogue is not pure berry at all. Hayati pairs berries with other fruit families more often than it blends berries with each other, and the pairing usually tells you more about the flavour than the berry does.

How the devices themselves work

Four of the five Hayati device ranges are prefilled pod systems, and they all work the same way regardless of which berry is inside.

The device splits into a battery section — cell, airflow sensor, USB-C port — and a sealed pod containing liquid, coil and mouthpiece. The pod seats magnetically; push it in until flush. There is no fire button, because the airflow sensor closes the circuit when you draw. All four ranges are restricted mouth-to-lung devices: you draw into your mouth first and then inhale, rather than taking a direct lung hit.

The capacity figures on the listings — 4ml, 12ml, 22ml — are total liquid, not what sits in the chamber. UK rules cap the nicotine-containing chamber you draw from at 2ml, and these devices comply by holding the rest in a sealed reserve that tops the chamber up automatically as it empties. The reserve is factory-sealed and cannot be refilled or accessed.

The Quokka range works differently: it is refillable, so the pod is 2ml flat and you fill it yourself from a bottle. That is the whole reason a refillable pod is 2ml while a prefilled pod can be 22ml — one is what you can legally fill, the other is what a sealed system may hold in total.

Five mistakes people make buying berry vapes

1. Buying by the fruit rather than by the sweetness

Two raspberry products can taste nothing like each other. Blue Razz GB and Red Sour Raspberry are both raspberry and sit at opposite ends of the spectrum. Decide sweet or tart first; pick the fruit second.

2. Assuming "ice" means "mint"

4. Ordering pods for the wrong range

Pods are not interchangeable between Hayati ranges. A Rubik pod will not fit a Pro Max Plus battery. Check which range your device came from before you restock — it is the single most common ordering error we see.

5. Staying inside berry for your whole rotation

Berry profiles share enough aromatic structure that swapping one for another does not reset your palate. If everything has started tasting flat, the fix is a mint, a citrus or a cola, not another berry.

The spread is more than three to one between the cheapest and the most expensive prefilled option for what is, in flavour terms, the same profile. That is worth knowing before you settle on a device. It is also worth being clear that cheaper per millilitre does not mean cheaper overall if you end up vaping more of it — consumption is the variable that swamps everything else.

The 120ml shortfills sit outside this comparison because they are 0mg and are designed to be used in larger refillable hardware rather than a pod kit. Building a berry rotation

Berry and the Mini Ultra's menthol anomaly

One detail in the berry catalogue is genuinely unusual and worth flagging separately. Across 210 berry listings, only three flavours are menthol-finished rather than ice-finished. Two are Mini Ultra products, Blueberry Straw' Menthol and Blueberry Raspberry Menthol, available as a paired kit at £3.99 and as separate pods at £3.49 each. The third is Black Mamba, a 10ml Pro Max nic salt at £2.49.

The distinction matters more than the labels suggest. An ice finish is smooth and sweet-adjacent; it extends the fruit and adds cold without changing its character much. A menthol finish is sharper, drier and more immediate, and it genuinely competes with the fruit rather than sitting underneath it. Plenty of people who find ice-finished berries cloying get on well with menthol-finished ones.

Since these exist nowhere else in the prefilled catalogue, a £3.49 Mini Ultra pod is the only way to try the combination. Nicotine, strength and UK compliance
